Title: Pneumatic Pendulums (castings)
Date: 6/01/2024 - 8/10/2025
Medium: plaster, gesmonite, metal powder, silicone, pneumatic pipes and fittings

The pneumatic pendulum is the core element of Time Machine, continuously evolving in both function and form. This experiment aims to cast a spherical pendulum using a mixture of plaster, Jesmonite, metal powder, and other materials, poured into a custom-designed silicone mold.

To create a pneumatic pendulum compatible with a pneumatic system—including an air compressor, solenoid valve, piping, microcontroller, and power supply—I designed a specialized silicone mold that allows a pipeline to be embedded within the pendulum during casting.

After a series of trials, I successfully produced multiple pneumatic pendulums with embedded piping; each shaft is aligned perpendicularly to the side hole of the pendulum. I plan to incorporate these pendulums into a new iteration of Time Machine in 2025.
